Standing tall for her kin, the Elezen bears pale skin, and locks of fine hair. Jeanne carries the best of both worlds between a feminine visage and soft skin, but the muscled build of one in great shape. While Jeanne may dress modestly, she never will shy away from being proud of how she looks. When she's not adorned in armor, she's adorned in makeup.Jeanne was always a woman to take such pride in her mannerisms. Optimism, smiles, and etiquette were oft associated with her. Yet even those born with the figurative silver spoon carry their troubles.
Recently...
Those familiar with her would note that the etiquette, smiles, and lighter tone of the noble more often than not give way to a cold, passive neutrality.Jeanne sustained injuries recently. The Knight's position of errantry is on hold, one might assume, as the woman is hardly able to walk without aid.On top of this, disfigured burn scars cover the right side of her face (see Gallery or imgur link).

Would your character perhaps know, or just heard of a woman like Jeanne? There are plenty of ways one might catch wind. Examples below are some of the more common ways one might know Jeanne, listed from more common, to less so.

The distorted, purple skin of that passing lady's burn scars does not look to be a recent wound, though the damage is apparent, especially when considering her other injuries. One might wonder what secrets those burns of her carry...Jeanne continues to live and operate out of Coerthas to this day. It would not be unlikely to find out and about in the snowy climate.Any person affiliated with House Fortemps of Ishgard may know of the minor noble family, House Castelle, that has served as proud vassals to this Great House for years.Jeanne served as a Temple Knight until the end of the Dragonsong War, being deployed mostly to the Western Highlands to uproot heretics. You may have encountered the young noble during these troubling times!Anybody with a position and/or affilitation with Ishgard's Inquisition may know of Jeanne's "troubled" past with the Tribunal. There might be other ways one could know of Jeannette Castelle. But the curious mind needs delve deep for such things...

Hi there! My name's Steph, I'm a dumb trans girl in her mid-20s who's just came out. Life's been a lil' rocky for me, but I always look on the bright side of life. :3Thanks for showing some sort of interest in Jeanne! She's my RP baby; my main, and the one I tend to feel the most writing through. If you'd like to RP and/or learn more about Jeanne, don't be afraid to contact me!I'm pretty much open to everything when it comes to RP. And since you're bothering to read my carrd, I can trust your intentions to not try and make the RP weird, or try some degenerate approach with ERP to get your rocks off.I'm available most days in the afternoon, evenings, and nights. My schedule's a little bit sporadic, but I typically prefer people reaching out to me beforehand anyways. c:Also! There is a "secret" page that I have hidden in this carrd, and though I have tried to drop a ton of hints to lead you, the lovely reader of this, to find it, I wish to invite you here to try and find it. I almost think it's "necessary," in a way, if you want to have a full picture of what Jeanne is like before interacting with her.

"Ah, yes. My dearest Jeannette. She hath been wrought with an emotional plight since her lover left her. My daughter has never faced heartbreak before. Do, please. Give her some time alone. Forget about her, and let us return to tea."

"Y'know, I heard that Castelle girl's been at odds with her father again."
"What d'ya mean? That damned brat's always rebellin' against her father's wishes. Spoiled rotten, she is."

"Ah, Mistress Castelle. Indeed. After her lover's departure, mi'lady took up an interest in reading. I would never see her without a book in her hands. As to what she read, I can't say."

"There's no way those burns are natural. It's so -revolting!-"

"A friend'a mine's a chirurgeon with the Temple Knights. -He- told me that burns like that ain't natural. Them's the workings of magic. Powerful stuff."

"This crazy woman keeps talkin' to herself. Who's in the blazin' hells is Naoise?"

Some secrets are better left untouched.

Proceed (minor spoilers).

Be warned! Knowing these secrets may come at a cost. Perhaps you'd rather return to knowing Jeanne just as an innocuous Knight, and let your naiveté bring a semblance of peace?

If you've come this far, you'll find that Jeanne has slowly become a different woman from what she portrays herself to be. Whatever that is can be left to the imagination ((and to discover via roleplay)).

Jeanne's changes have been spurred by the discovery of new strength in her life. Something that had been out of reach for her since childbirth, and now brought to her via a miracle.

Magic.

Through events that are best left to discovery, the Elezen has recently found herself engrossed in the forbidden, taboo arts of Black Magic. There is a myriad of complexities relating to her situation, yet such a path stands as an antithesis to the knightly figure you see now, standing in the very background of this page.

As such, secrecy has been key with this woman's life. She'd nary present herself as more than a novice thaumaturge, and truly, her overall ability with the arts of aetheric manipulation are on par with one of the Ossuary's many novices.

On top of secrecy, the woman's identity has been challenged. With what could, essentially, be boiled down to "two personas" that the Elezen presents herself as, both stand at the opposite ends of legality, and in some ways, morality. Jeanne finds herself struggling to know where her heart truly lies. What will the future hold?

Will she continue to walk down this path?

There are plenty of ways one might get hooked into knowing of her secrets.

Anybody who keeps tabs on the rumours spread amongst Ishgard may have heard rumors of Jeanne recently being kidnapped. Many wonder how she eventually freed herself, and many more wonder how the scars she carries relates.Researchers of the Mhachi, voidsent, and the terrible arts of black magic may be reached out to by the noblewoman, as well as potentially contracted in a pursuit of 'knowing the enemy.' Voidsent, of course, being said enemy. Those involved in the underbelly of Ishgard's society; namely, those with an interest in smuggling, contraband, and the trade of magical artifacts, may find Jeanne to be an interested customer.Mages with a keen aethersense may note that the burns on Jeanne's body are ripe with astral earthern aether. A clear sign that her burns are magic, and the results have left what almost seems to be a imbalance, or even corruption on her flesh.Similar to her burns, those who may catch Jeanne unawares may feel that same feeling of aether emanating from a single point in her chest.
